    Killing Commandatore, by Haruki Marakami. A story about a portrait artist that starts out normal, then goes a little wack-a-doodle surreal will staying entirely engaging. If you enjoy magical realism and thinking about how to create a striking portrait, you'll love this epic novel. Clocking in at over 28 hours, I'm on my third time listening to the book on tape.
